2026 Graduate Student Publishes Revised Thesis as Peer-reviewed Article
Katherine M. Consola, the former student and thesis advisee of Dr. Joshua Roberson,
has just published a revision of her MA thesis, as a peer reviewed article entitled
"Recently Excavated Seal Impressions of the Middle Kingdom from Elephantine," in the
most recent issue of the Journal of the American Research Center in Egypt, vol. 61, for which please see the publisher's site w/ TOC
2026 Penn State and ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ Co-sponsor Conference
Dr. Joshua Roberson has co-organized an international conference with Dr. Tawny Holm
(Penn State) on "New Ideas and Approaches to Ancient Egyptian Religion." The conference,
co-sponsored by Penn State University and the ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ Institute of Egyptian
Art & Archaeolgy is to be held on Penn State campus on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Congratulations to Dr. Joshua Roberson for his invitation to speak on his research
at Harvard University on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026. His presentation was titled "The

Dr. Joshua Roberson was invited to speak on his research by the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities
in Toronto, Canada, on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026. His presentation was titled "No One
Should Brave the Underworld Alone: A Scenic View of Ancient Egyptian Cosmology." Congratulations Dr. Roberson! The announcement may be found
2026 Graphic Design Team Places Third in Design it Forward Competition
Graphic Design students Daijah Dailey, Grace Glaser, and Afia Sushma, led by Sanaz
Feizi, assistant professor of graphic design, represented the Department of Art and
Design at the . The team earned third place in a field of 25 teams and 70 student participants.
The one-day competition challenged students to develop and present a creative rebranding
solution within a collaborative and competitive setting, providing an opportunity
to apply their design skills while representing the ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ and the
College of Communication and Fine Arts. Congratulations to the team on this achievement!

2022 Ancient Egypt Family Day
The Institute of Egyptian Art & Archaeology is sponsoring an online version of its
annual Ancient Egypt Family Day this year in place of its traditional on campus event.
Content will be available from April 18 through September 30, 2022.
